My Opinion: Capital Punishment

I think that the death penalty should only be enforced if the crime is really really extreme like a murder or rape. I don't think that anyone else should be put to the death penalty because it's not right because they didn't do anything really all that extreme to be killed for it. I think that anyone that is put to the death penalty for anything other then those 2 reasons isn't right and they are just killing someone to so they aren't any better then a murderer. If they can kill a person for a small crime then the should be killed because they are doing a big crime. But because they don't neither should the people. The people that do the smaller crimes should only be put in jail for a long time.

Innocent or Guilty?

I think Steve is innocent. I'm not quite sure why but I have a strong feeling that he is innocent because he sounds like somebody that would never kill anyone. I don't think he would have a part in that even though all he did was go in then give a signal that is not being a part of the crime. Even though he did take part in the crime I don't think it was that big of a deal for how bad the crime ended up at the end of the whole thing. He also gives me a good feeling like he is innocent because he wants to be a good role model for his little brother. I don't think he would put his parents through that much pain either. When he is just sitting in his cell he is always mad because he is in trouble for no reason.

21 years 3 months

In 21 years and 3 months I will be 37 years and 1 month. I will have lost my whole life practically because I thew it away because of a bad decision. All just because I decided to be cool. I won't have much chose of what to do but I will try to start over and get my feet underneath me again. My life wouldn't look very good because I got put in jail at the age of 15 years and 10 months and get out at the age of 37 years and 1 month. I probably wouldn't have much of a chance to get married or having children.

Monster Vocab

Brittany and I had the word community. We had to act out the word and we walked by each other and waved, then came back around driving and waved again. Our word means to be together or live near each other. Another word a group did was interject and that means to interrupt or make a break in the process. And another word one of my class mates did was reassurance and that means to make a person happier or to feel better.

Community connects to Monster because they live in the ghetto so they all live near each other. Interject connects to Monster because when they robbed the store they interrupted the process of how it works. Reassurance connects to Monster because in the ghetto the families need to stay together so nobody in their families get hurt.
